Photo Via Style Me Pretty Limoncello 10 lemons 1 (750-ml) bottle vodka 3 1/2 cups water 2 1/2 cups sugar Directions Using a vegetable peeler, remove the peel from the lemons in long strips (reserve the lemons for another use). Using a small sharp knife, trim away the white pith from the lemon peels; discard the pith. Place the lemon peels in a 2-quart pitcher. Pour the vodka over the peels and cover with plastic wrap. Steep the lemon peels in the vodka for 4 days at room temperature. Stir the water and sugar in a large saucepan over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes. Cool completely. Pour the sugar syrup over the vodka mixture. Cover and let stand at room temperature overnight. Strain the Limoncello through a mesh strainer. Discard the peels. Transfer the Limoncello to bottles. Seal the bottles and refrigerate until cold, at least 4 hours and up to 1 month. Photo Via Style Me Pretty1/2 vanilla bean 1 cup fresh raspberries Cut the vanilla bean in half the long way to expose the flavorful seedy part. Wash and drain the raspberries. Combine with the vodka in an airtight container. Taste frequently until vanilla flavor reaches the desired level (approximately 2 days). Discard the vanilla bean and leave the berries to infuse for an additional 2 weeks. Strain through a coffee filter or cheesecloth. Chai Whiskey Ingredients: 1) Toast the Cardamom, Peppercorns and Cinnamon until the spices start to pop. BE CAREFUL - the Peppercorns with go up like popcorn if they get too hot! 2) Transfer to a Mortar and Pestle and grind to a coarse consistency just to release the oils. You will have a lot of large pieces of Cinnamon. 3) Chop the Ginger if necessary and add all of the ingredients to your jar and fill with Whisky or Bourbon. Let sit in a warm dark place for 24-48 hours.
